Celebrating 25 years of Artistic Amity between India and Germany

The year 2011 marked the 25th year of a friendship and also a milestone in the artistic and calligraphic companionship of India and Germany. A friendship with noted German calligrapher, Katharina Pieper, forged during my first visit to Germany has flourished over the years and a lot of fusion work of Indian and German scripts has evolved. This venture not only strengthened this bond but facilitated further interaction and exchange in the field of calligraphy creating a social bridge between the scholarly and artistic communities between the two countries.
