APSC is known for conceptualizing innovative ways to promote Indian calligraphy and literature. One of them is the Annual Umbrella Workshop. A glorious combination of monsoon themed phrases, poems, colours and a beautiful artform. Artists, students and non-artists of various ages, come together to capture the glorious avatars of rain in calligraphy and colours. The premise of the workshop is that calligraphy has a vast potential for application and umbrellas are a unique medium to paint on. They are an exciting way for a student of calligraphy to begin work across a range of surfaces.
